Learn to Dive with Sussex Diving & Leisure
Here at Sussex Diving & Leisure we specialise in diver training and our aim is simply, to produce confident and safe scuba divers.
With Sussex Diving & Leisure (SDL) you can expect quality training in small well supported groups, we are a family run diver training opperation providing friendly PADI diver training. Because we only train in small groups we are able to offer a very personal expeience to our customers helping them to learn the required skills without stress often on a one to one basis. Our private, heated pool is conviently situated near Chichester, West Sussex making the facilities easy to access from Bognor, Selsey, Midhurst, Petersfield, Worthing and Hampshire.
PADI Courses of the Month & Dive Trips
Not sure if diving is for you "Try Diving" with our Discover Scuba experience it costs just £45 and includes a mask worth £27.50 for you to keep.
Remember if you don't like it, there is no commitment and all you have lost is an hour of your time, however if you go on to book within a month we will deduct £25 from the cost of your Open Water course.

Each month we feature one of our courses at a discounted rate, giving you the opportunity to expand your diving skills or try something new.
This months Courses are:-
PADI Boat Diver Speciality
Friday 13th May.
If you are new to diving you probably didn't qualify on a boat and the thought of just turning up without somebody to guide you is frightening to say the least.
The PADI Boat Diver Speciality course is the perfect starting point for you, our instructor and friendly skipper will guide you through everything from equipment to etiquette and procedures in a warm and friendly environment.
The course consists of on-line learning (2-3hrs) followed by 2 boat dives with our instructor.
EARN CREDIT.
If you haven't already done your "Advanced Open Water" qualification you can use this course as a credit against one of the elective dives on this course, we will even offer you a 5% discount on the AOW course.
Whats involved?
At home you work you way through the on-line course materials at your own speed, knowing that we are only ever a phone call away to assist with anything you don't understand.
There are then two boat dives where we will implement and demonstrate what you have learnt
Re Activate you PADI Qualifcation
Saturday 26th June 2022
So you haven't dived for a while this really isn't a problem…….
With the PADI Re-Activate you will re-visit some of the important theory you did during your Open Water course at home, then when you are ready we will take you to our heated pool in Chichester West Sussex where we will revisit some of the key skills we use during every dive plus some of the new skills you may not have seen yet, with plenty of time left to practice some skills of your choice.
On completion PADI issue a new e-card at your previous qualification level.
When you book your course remember to ask about equipment servicing, we can arrange for you kit to be serviced and ready to use for the pool session
Whats involved?
At home you work you way through the course materials at your own speed, knowing that we are only ever a phone call away to assist with anything you don't understand.
There is then a classroom session where we discuss your knowledge reviews, you get the opportunity to analyse a Nitrox mixture using an industry standard analyser, if you bring your computer (and instructions) we will also show you how to adjust your computers profile to fit the mix you are using.

Covid-19 Information (Feb 2022).
Keeping you safe...
Our first consideration as always is your safety, in an effort to ensure this all our training will be undertaken in line with the industry best standards.
- Out training group sizes will be strictly limited to 4 students and two PADI professionals.
- All equipment will be washed, sterilised between uses and stored in a well ventilated area for at least 36hrs before re-use.
- If you are undertaking a course that takes more than one session your equipment will be issued to you at the start of the course and you will be asked to keep it and care for it between sessions, thus eliminating any chance of cross infection.
- Unfortunately numbers in our pool facility and at dive sites are strictly limited at this time to allow for social distancing therefore may not be possible to allow spectators.
- All students will be expected to observe social distancing, unless from the same cohort.
- Divers are asked NOT to clear masks by spitting, anti fog will be supplied free of charge at out sanitising station.
- All entry level courses booked after the 18th of April include a brand new diving mask and where required snorkel for you to keep again ensuring you are the only person using your equipment.
At Sussex Diving & Leisure we offer a full range of courses for Children and Adults alike, from total novice to professional level, including First Aid and Manual Handling training.
We specialise in Children's diving courses and have a monthly Diving club to engage young minds, we are also able to offer private courses for those who are insecure or just want some privacy.
Not sure if diving is for you? No problem we run informal taster sessions (Try Dives) most weekends at our private heated pool in Eartham, Nr Chichester and we will be happy to let you try diving without committing to a full course, If you do decide you like it and want to go further then, we will give you your money back when you purchase our premium option, if its not for you then all you have lost is the small fee and an hour of your time.
We offer staged payment terms on most of our courses, 1st payment when you register, 2nd payment just before your first pool session and the final payment when we go to the open water site.
