Emergency First Response is one of the fastest-growing international CPR, AED and first aid training organisations. With more than 56,000 instructors worldwide, Emergency First Response is backed by 48 years of experience in the development and delivery of instructional courses, training materials and educational curricula.
Focused on training the lay rescuer, the Emergency First Response approach to training builds confidence in lay rescuers and increases their willingness to respond when faced with a medical emergency by teaching them the skills they need in a non-stressful learning environment. Participants are also given as much practice as necessary to master and retain these skills.
Emergency First Response courses follow the emergency considerations and protocols as developed by the members of the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR).
The format of the basic course is modular so you can undertake a course tailored around your requirements, if you only want to learn CPR and use of an AED then that's great but you also have the option of bolting on the additional first aid and or Care for children elements if required.
if you are looking for workplace HSE accepted "Appointed Person" training please make contact to discuss group discounts.

Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) teaches participants how to respond to life-threatening emergencies. The course focuses on primary care through a combination of knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice to make sure participants have the confidence in their ability to provide care when emergency situations arise.
Primary Care (CPR) skills taught in this course:
Emergency First Response Secondary Care (first aid) covers injuries or illnesses that are not immediately life threatening. Participants focus on secondary assessment and first aid through knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice.
Secondary Skills taught in this course:
The Emergency First Response Care for Children course is an innovative CPR, AED and First Aid training course that teaches participants how to provide emergency care for injured or ill children (ages one to eight) and infants less than one year old. Participants learn about the types of medical emergencies that children face, and how they differ from adults. The curriculum also includes the importance of attending to basic emergency situations with children, the emotional aspects of caring for children, secondary care for children, and preventing common injuries and illnesses in children.
The Emergency First Response Care for Children course trains the lay rescuer to follow the same priorities of care used by medical professionals. The student masters the priorities and the procedures of patient care for infants and children in a non-stressful learning environment, which reduces the performance anxieties that interfere with learning and enhances confidence when rendering aid in a real medical emergency.
Typical timing if taught separately is around 8 hrs.
However when included with primary and secondary care it adds about an hour to the course and costs just £75.
£145 if taught as a stand alone course
The EFR Instructor course provides the training necessary to be able to teach the Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR), Secondary Care (First Aid), CPR & AED and Care for Children Courses.
The course builds on the candidate’s skills as primary and secondary care providers and focuses on developing their instructional abilities. Through independent study, classroom sessions and practice teaching assignments, instructor candidates learn to conduct the Emergency First Response program.
As an Emergency First Response Instructor, you teach skills based on ILCOR (International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation) emergency care guidelines.
The great thing about EFR courses make learning easy by providing a comfortable environment to practice emergency care skills, your students finish the course feeling confident with their new skills and ready to help someone in need.
The need for First Aid & CPR courses in the UK has rocketed over recent years and is set too again when the government introduces First Aid into the school curriculum in September, so the demand for First Aid & CPR Instructors has never been higher.
Providing you already have current First Aid, CPR and AED training (within the last 2 years), it takes as little as a day to become an Instructor.
